Solution-IV is a complete Business Management Solution for the Reprographics Industry. Accuracy, productivity, versatility and connectivity are required to match the needs of today's reprographics enterprises.

Accuracy. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), is the foundation of the Solution-IV Business Management Solution. Solution-IV is fully optimized for the Reprographics Industry.

Integration With Windows-Based Productivity Tools

Solution-IV Accounting® has broken new ground in integrating your business data with Windows-based products such as spreadsheets, word processors and imaging. You can create and display graphs and charts and insert data into documents using your favorite software.

Both color and scanned document images can be attached to Solution-IV data. This means that images such as purchase orders and correspondence can be attached to invoices, vendors or customers; employee photos, resumes and applications can be attached to employee records; and pictures or schematic diagrams can be attached to inventory items and orders.

General Accounting Core Modules

General Ledger

General Ledger is the foundation of the Solution-IV Accounting product line. This is where the transactions are brought together to give you a detailed picture of your financial condition. General Ledger helps you track and control your business expenses, analyze budget controls, set realistic growth goals, accurately record your financial information and print financial statements.

Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable is designed to help you manage your vendor base, make payments to vendors and control outgoing cash flow. Purchases and payments are organized into reports that illustrate where your money is going, who needs to be paid, and how much cash you need to make timely payments and to take advantage of discounts.

Accounts Receivable

Accounts Receivable helps you manage your customer base and incoming cash flow. Your sales, profit information and cash receipts are organized into reports that show what you are selling, how profitable it is, who owes you money and which sales representatives are making your sales.

Order Processing/Point-of-Sale

Order Processing is the key to fully integrating your invoicing, inventory, accounts receivable and sales analysis functions. It helps you track your open orders, generate job tickets, produce invoices, handle RMAs and process quotes. It also provides sales analysis reports which show you how your inventory is moving and who is buying your products.

Solution-IV Pricing Options

Solution-IV supports many different reprographics customer/item pricing options including the following. Pricing can be established by customer by item up to 10 levels and covered by contract and project pricing.

Standard

Pricing Options

Price breaks can be created using the following types: actual price, a discount percent, a discount amount, a markup percent, or a markup amount. They can also be based on either unit quantity or total dollar amount

Contracts

Contracts are used to define a special pricing arrangement with certain customers for items. A contract runs for a specified period of time. There are various types of contracts as follows:

Contract Project pricing can be established to maintain pricing unique to each project covered under a contract.

Hi-Low Retail Invoice

Hi-Lo Retail pricing provides invoices at a non-discounted "Retail or List Price" level that may be offered to the customer’s customer. Actual customer invoices and statements will reflect the customers discount or contract pricing.

Inventory Control

Inventory Control helps you manage your inventory, often the highest use of cash in a business. It helps you trace your inventory transactions and turnover, thereby helping you order more efficiently and reduce inventory carrying costs.

Purchase Orders

Purchase Order automatically creates and prints purchase orders and records item receipts with full integration to Solution-IV Inventory Control. When the invoice is received, it is posted to Accounts Payable and any cost discrepancies against the original purchase order are corrected in inventory. Orders may be tracked by item or vendor. Purchase analysis reports are also provided.

Bank Reconciliation

Bank Reconciliation pulls together all of your bank deposits from Accounts Receivable and checks from Accounts Payable and Payroll to assist you in doing your regular bank reconciliation. After entering any adjustments from the bank statement, it is a simple process to clear items; then verify that the bank statement is, in fact, in balance with General Ledger.

Credit Card Processing

The Soloution-IV CreditCard Processing module is an integrated solution to processing and validating credit card and debit card payments through your accounting system. Thoroughbred has teamed up with Payment Processing, Inc (PPI) one of the leaders in credit card processing, to provide Solution-IV users a seamless transaction gateway.

FormsCreator

FormsCreator is the solution for faxing, e-mailing or laser printing elegantly formatted forms on plain paper from Solution-IV Accounting or your own Thoroughbred-based 3GL or 4GL application. FormsCreator can quickly pay for itself with the savings of postage and resources required to print, stuff and post your invoices, statements and orders, not to mention the costs of purchasing and warehousing pre-printed forms.

Service Contract

The Solution-IV Reprographics Service Contract module helps manage service contract customers and equiptment information. Equipment details, service and maintenance billings and calls, dispatch and technician scheduling are supported by the Solution-IV Reprographics Service Contract Module.

Payroll

Payroll is designed to take the hassle out of calculating employee checks by hand and provide the reports for federal and state agencies. Solution-IV Payroll handles multiple taxing jurisdictions as well as 401(k) plans.

Fixed Assets

Fixed Assets is designed to help you manage your assets and calculate depreciation. You may have as many depreciation calculations on an asset as required for your business. Different calculations might be used for federal tax, state tax, and book purposes.

Prospect Management

Prospect Management is designed to assist the sales staff of a Solution-IV Accounting installation in managing their prospect database. It is integrated with Accounts Receivable, giving the sales representative the option to convert a prospect into a customer and then enter quotes or orders for the new customer.

Solution-IV Data Accessability

All Solution-IV data can be accessed by any ODBC compliant Windows based application including spreadsheets, word processors and ODBC compliant database applications. Requires TS ODBC DataServer™.

Solution-IV can be integrated with document/image storage and retrieval systems enabling on-line viewing and processing of image files including pictures, contracts and drawings.

Disaster Back-up and Recovery

Disaster can strike in many forms including: hardware failure, Mother Nature, malfeasance, to fire, flood and accident. If you are a public company, the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) need to be addressed.

How safe is your data? If you employ a periodic tape or disk copy of your data, how do you know it is good? Have you ever tested it? Do you have a record of how your data was changed?

Thoroughbred offers several levels of back-up services:

Solution-IV Internet Access

A Web-based Customer Service module allows customers to review their accounts, invoices and statements and to enter orders, check order status and get quotes over the Internet. Additional Solution-IV information can be made available for inquiry and processing as required. The Solution-IV Internet Access capability requires Solution-IV Reprographics WebServices™ and may require other server and communications hardware and software.

Hosted Services

Thoroughbred can provide Hosted Services for any system running Thoroughbred-based applications including Solution-IV Reprographics and ez-Repro Accounting and Business Management software solutions and AEK Leisure Industry applications. All you need is an appropriate Internet connection and workstations that support Telnet connections. Thoroughbred will set-up a VPN (that may require hardware if no VPN currently exists) so all communications are secure.
