Solution-IV Server Recommended Hardware Configuration

Manufacturers update systems very often. Use the specifications and considerations below to find a compatible system from your hardware provider. We have had success with Dell PowerEdge and HP ProLiant systems.
  • Dual Core Intel Server Processor (usually Xeon)
  • 2 GB memory
  • Hard disk minimum of 100GB (SCSI or SAS), or optionally RAID 1 or 5 for redundancy
  • CD/DVD ROM
  • NIC (network card)
  • Backup device (tape, removable hard disk (e.g. RDX) or you can use one already installed on your network)
  • Recommended Operating Systems are Windows 2003, Windows 2008, most current UNIX, and RedHat Linux
  • Power backup (UPS)
